Driver's License

The Hamilton County Treasurer's Office is a "limited service" driver's license station.  In some cases we may have to refer you to a "full service" station.

With proper documentation we do the following:  renew ID cards, renew non-commercial driver's license, issue driver education instructional and farm permits with a Driver Education Certificate of Completion, issue duplicate replacement licenses, and process name and address changes.  In Hamilton County, these services are done by appointment.  You can also renew your Driver License online, if you meet certain criteria, at this IKAN website

We CAN NOT process any Commercial Driver License (CDL) services, temporary resident driver license renewals, or issue new identification cards (ID's).  We are also unable to process renewals for any type of registered offender or if your license has been suspended due to a court proceeding.  For these type of services, you must schedule an appointment with a "full service" station. For more information and to schedule an appointment with a full service station, please visit the Kansas Division of Motor Vehicles website
